Tiled Clock # 37
approx. 7-1/2 x 8-1/2″
// sold //
I used a technique I call “chopped metallic” for the face and the frame of this clock; it makes the polymer appear textured but it’s actually quite smooth.
The tiles were individually made over a course of months, and include texturing (with and without subsequent antiquing), a couple of image transfers, screen printing, surface paint manipulation, mokume gane, and more. The number marks are eyelets and the hands have a little texture to ’em.
As with all my clocks, this is mounted onto hardboard for stability and uses a high-quality, U.S.-made quartz movement with an on/off switch and a hanger. Battery is included.
